Cable Extrusion Lines

A cable extrusion line is more than an extruder. It may combine pay-off, preheating, feeding/dosing, extruder, crosshead, cooling trough, online measurement/testing, caterpillar haul-off, accumulator, and take-up.

Insulation, inner-sheath, outer-sheath, and coating applications are defined against the cable construction.

Which machines and lines can be evaluated?

Insulation and sheathing

Building, energy, control, instrumentation, automotive, data/LAN, communication, fibre-optic, solar, or charging-cable directions.

Extruder and feeding

Single-screw extruder, material feeding/dosing, preheater, and stripe application.

Extrusion crosshead, cooling trough, capstan or caterpillar haul-off, and accumulator.

Extruder versus extrusion line

The single machine and the complete production system are not synonyms.

Extruder

Processes the polymer but does not alone feed, cool, test, pull, and wind the cable.

Extrusion line

Synchronizes all main and auxiliary equipment across the cable path.

Tandem/co-extrusion

Multi-process or multi-layer directions; suitability requires verified material and machine documentation.
